It is with immense pride and profound humility that I welcome you to the 3rd Annual Session of VidyaGyan School Model United Nations — VGSMUN'26.

I have had the privilege of witnessing this conference evolve — first as a delegate, then as Executive Director, and now as Secretary-General. Each iteration has refined our vision. This year, we aspire to something greater: a conference that does not merely simulate diplomacy, but internalises it.

You are here not just to win awards, but to wrestle with ideas that matter. Debate with courage, listen with empathy, and lead with integrity. The world awaits leaders forged in rooms like ours.

Procedure is not a formality — it is the spine of diplomacy. Without it, the most impassioned argument collapses under its own weight. As Deputy Secretary-General, I am committed to ensuring that VGSMUN'26 upholds the highest standards of procedural rigour and substantive excellence.

My journey through Model UN has been one of relentless refinement. From the delegate's chair to the dais, what has remained constant is a conviction that preparation and dedication are the true differentiators. Every award I have received has been a reminder to sharpen, not to settle.

I encourage you to approach every session with that same spirit. Research deeply. Argue clearly. And when the debate reaches its most contested point — hold your ground with evidence, not emotion.
