VGSMUN'25

It is with profound pride and eager anticipation that I invite you to the 2nd Annual Session of the VidyaGyan Sitapur Model United Nations (VGSMUN 2025), scheduled for October 8–9, 2025, at the VidyaGyan School, Sitapur.

Established under the visionary leadership of Mr. Shiv Nadar, VidyaGyan was founded in 2009 to identify and nurture high-achieving students from rural Uttar Pradesh—providing them with world-class education and 21st century skills to become future leaders. Since then, VidyaGyan has grown considerably and now proudly provides education to the gifted students from across India through its three branches located in Dulhera, Chennai, and Sitapur. What began as a transformative idea has evolved into an institution that stands for academic excellence, social equity, and leadership rooted in values. At VidyaGyan, we do not merely educate; we empower.

VGSMUN is a living extension of that founding mission. It is a forum that challenges students not only to understand the complexities of global affairs, but also to engage with them as informed, ethical, and courageous thinkers. It is our belief that leadership is not born from privilege or position—it is cultivated through discourse, self-awareness, and responsibility.

The theme for this year’s edition of VGSMUN—"Valar Morghulis. Valar Dohaeris." (All men must die. All men must serve.)—is both timeless and timely. It captures a profound truth about the nature of leadership: its impermanence and its responsibility. In an era marked by polarization, ethical uncertainty, and institutional vulnerability, we call on our delegates to confront the deeper question of what it means to lead with righteousness. Here, righteousness is not lofty or abstract—it is a commitment to integrity, service, and resilience in the face of challenge. It demands action, not perfection, and serves as the enduring foundation of leadership that truly matters.

To all delegates preparing to take your places—whether deliberating policy in the Lok Sabha, navigating the intricacies of a crisis committee, or reporting from the frontlines as part of the International Press Corps—let me offer a simple but earnest appeal: take this endeavour seriously. This is not merely a pursuit of trophies or titles, but an invitation to engage in dialogue that is thoughtful, principled, and sincere.

Bring with you not only your intelligence, but your humility. Disagree, yes—but do so with grace. Speak with clarity, but never without reflection. “Valar Morghulis. Valar Dohaeris.” All must serve—and in that service, you will discover the essence of leadership that endures.

We hope VGSMUN’25 will be more than a conference—it will be a crucible of challenge, growth, and aspiration. A place where young voices rise not in noise, but in clarity and purpose.
